Barbican

Once again my daughter, her boyfriend and me made our pilgrimage to hear the wonderful Olafur and his amazing ensemble. It is my fourth time and each time the whole show just gets better and better. The music is at once beautiful, haunting, the use of the larger ensemble especially the horns on Only the Winds is sublime, the lighting adding another incredible dimension to the ascending strings on THAT moment!! Of course the evening would not be complete without the stunning resonance of Arnor Dan whom we had the pleasure to meet afterwards. The timbre of his voice has a transcendent quality, soaring above the beauty of the instruments and just extraordinary. Ha ha just too much in love with you all, the world is a better place for us after a gig with you!!
