This evening was therapy. Ólafur stirred within me a sad nostalgia for a precious chapter in my life. With tenderness and deftness, he conjured acceptance, and finally an upliftedness, my tears finally drying on a smile.
Some things in life hurt beautifully, and it's a gift to share the warmth and presence of an artist who shines through a whispering vulnerability and openness. Thank you for composing the music you do, it gives me great comfort, and it was a pleasure and a privilege to watch you and your ensemble play together.
